Business Development Representative
Responsibilities
Research, identify, and prospect potential customers, with a primary focus on manufacturers and brands that may need custom packaging solutions.
Generate new business opportunities through consistent outbound activity, including cold calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, referrals, and other prospecting methods.
Make a high volume of outbound calls each day to introduce Utah PaperBox, qualify potential opportunities, and schedule meetings for the sales team.
Assist in building and maintaining a pipeline of net-new opportunities by identifying decision makers, gathering basic customer information, and tracking next steps.
Schedule introductory meetings for qualified prospects and, when appropriate, participate in or shadow meetings with experienced sales representatives.
Learn how to conduct consultative discovery, including understanding customer needs, timelines, volumes, packaging requirements, and potential challenges.
Maintain accurate and timely CRM records, including all calls, emails, meeting notes, follow-ups, and opportunity progress.
Collaborate with sales leadership and experienced sales representatives to support prospecting strategy, account research, and follow-up activity.
Develop a strong understanding of Utah PaperBox’s products, capabilities, sales process, customer types, and value proposition.
Demonstrate persistence, professionalism, and accountability in a role that requires frequent outreach and comfort with rejection.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent years of relevant sales, business development, customer service, or professional experience may substitute for this requirement.
Comfortable making a high volume of cold calls and initiating conversations with new prospects.
Strong technology skills, including the ability to confidently use a CRM, email, Microsoft Office, LinkedIn, online research tools, and other sales-related software on a daily basis.
Strong communication skills, both over the phone and in writing.
High level of personal accountability, organization, and follow-through.
Ability to handle rejection, stay motivated, and remain consistent with daily prospecting activity.
Willingness to learn a technical, custom, and relationship-based sales process.
Ability to accurately track activity, notes, and follow-up tasks in a CRM.
Professional, positive, and team-oriented approach.
Preferred
1–3 years of sales, customer service, business development, recruiting, or other outbound-focused experience.
Experience in B2B sales, business development, lead generation, or appointment setting.
Experience using a CRM, LinkedIn, email outreach tools, or other sales prospecting platforms.
Interest in growing into a full-cycle sales or outside sales role over time.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing, packaging, print, or custom product environment.
General Manufacturing Warehouse
Responsibilities
Assist with general warehouse and manufacturing duties as assigned.
Move, organize, and stage materials, supplies, and finished goods.
Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
Keep warehouse, production, and storage areas clean, organized, and safe.
Follow company safety procedures and use proper lifting techniques.
Assist with inventory counts, labeling, and product tracking as needed.
Operate basic warehouse equipment after proper training.
Inspect materials and products for quality concerns and report issues to a supervisor.
Work as part of a team to meet daily production and shipping needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Proficient in reading and writing.
No previous experience required; warehouse, manufacturing, or production experience preferred.
Mechanically inclined preferred.
Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
Forklift experience is a plus, but not required.
Press Operator
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret instructions for each job ticket and direct set-up of press based on instructions.
Makes job ready by running sets to adjust print quality, registration, & color settings.
Makes pre-run inspection of job and receives approval to proceed from supervisor. Runs job to completion.
Check offsetting and load temperatures for various printed substrates.
Observes and monitors machine operations to detect malfunctions and to determine whether adjustments are needed.
Accurately follows instructions.
Monitors PH and conductivity of fountain solution and all other press-related chemistry.
Completes all required documentation i.e. Shop floor, manual entries, (job log, sheet count, running sequence) and all other pertinent information.
Supervises and trains press feeders and second press operator on the multi-color process.
Qualifications:
Must have minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience performing First Press Operator duties on sheet-fed equipment.
Must be a high school graduate or have a G.E.D.
Must have good color perception and pass a color hue and vision test.
Experience with color scanning equipment required.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Must have basic computer skills.
Must have the ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Must have the ability to operate densitometers, spectrophotometers, calculators, gloss meters, PH/conductivity meters, and other printing equipment.
Must be able to work in and around UV materials.
Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations.
Gluer Operator
Responsibilities:
Complete preventive maintenance requirements according to operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions and established preventive maintenance schedules on Folder Gluers.
Set up bar code scanners, glue detectors, jam sensors, kick and ejection systems.
Maintain equipment, parts, and supply inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed equipment, parts and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
Contribute to team effort by cross-training and providing back-up when necessary.
Contribute to team effort by exhibiting strong work ethic, problem solving, providing training and demonstrating leadership.
Contribute to quality investigations when necessary.
Able to interpret job ticket information and customer specifications to efficiently set-up and run Folder Gluers.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with company safety rules, procedures and regulations.
