Quality Manager

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Utah Paperbox’s Quality Management and Food Safety systems, ensuring compliance with company standards, customer requirements, FSSC 22000, and applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Investigate customer complaints, internal quality issues, non-conformances, and recurring defects; lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.

  • Maintain and continuously improve the company’s FSSC 22000 certification program, including documentation, procedures, records, corrective actions, and ongoing certification readiness.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external certification audits, customer quality audits, and other quality-related assessments.

  • Plan and coordinate internal audits, ensuring findings are documented, corrective actions are assigned, and issues are effectively resolved.  

  • Partner closely with production, operations, customer service, estimating, and other departments to identify quality issues and implement practical, sustainable solutions.

  • Monitor quality performance and trends, identify areas of risk or recurring issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure quality and food safety procedures are effectively implemented and followed throughout manufacturing operations.

  • Manage quality-related documentation, specifications, inspection requirements, records, and document control processes.

  • Support new products, materials, processes, and customer requirements from a quality and food safety perspective.

  • Develop, coordinate, and document quality and food safety training for employees and managers.

  • Promote a strong quality and food safety culture throughout the organization, including employee awareness and accountability.

  • Manage and develop Quality department employees, providing clear expectations, coaching, training, and support.

  • Communicate effectively with customers and suppliers regarding quality concerns, corrective actions, specifications, and other quality-related matters.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3-5 years experience in quality, print production, or food manufacturing

  • Demonstrated ability to identify quality issues, determine root causes, and work cross-functionally to implement effective solutions.

  • Strong organizational and documentation skills with the ability to maintain accurate, audit-ready records.

  • Ability to balance detailed quality requirements with the practical realities of a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills, including the ability to hold others accountable while building productive relationships across departments.

  • High level of ownership, judgment, follow-through, and attention to detail.

Preferred

  • Experience in paperboard packaging, print production, food packaging, or a related converting/manufacturing environmenta plus.

  • Experience managing and writting corrective actions through completion a plus. 

  • Experience using quality data and KPIs to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.

Outside Sales Executive

Responsibilities

  • Independently research, target, and prospect upper SMB to lower Mid-Market manufacturers and brands, with a primary focus on custom packaging solutions.

  • Generate new business through consistent outbound activity (cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, referrals, and field activity), without reliance on inbound leads.

  • Own the full sales cycle from initial discovery through quoting, negotiation, close, and early-stage account management.

  • Conduct consultative discovery to understand customer requirements, timelines, volumes, constraints, and operational challenges.

  • Develop and manage a repeatable pipeline of net-new opportunities, maintaining accurate forecasting and deal visibility.

  • Collaborate with internal estimating, customer service, production, and operations teams to ensure solution feasibility, pricing accuracy, and delivery alignment.

  • Identify and pursue expansion opportunities within existing accounts, including additional SKUs, programs, or locations.

  • Participate selectively in trade shows, regional events, or industry functions to source new leads and strengthen market presence.

  • Update CRM with all sales related activity and progress. 

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of successful B2B outside sales experience selling custom, non-commoditized solutions. Experience in print or any type of packaging sales, preferred. 

  • Proven track record of self-sourced new business, with documented success closing deals

  • Demonstrated ability to hunt: consistent outbound prospecting without heavy inbound lead flow.

  • Experience selling to upper SMB and lower Mid-Market buyers (owners, Directors, and VPs).

  • Full-cycle sales ownership experience, from prospecting through close.

  • Strong consultative discovery skills, particularly in environments involving custom specifications, timelines, and operational constraints.

  • High level of personal accountability, persistence, and resilience in the face of rejection.

Preferred

  • Ability to sell on value (cost efficiency, durability, speed, reliability), not price alone.

  • Comfort working cross-functionally with operations, estimating, and production teams.

  • Experience growing accounts after the initial sale. 

Business Development Representative 

Responsibilities

  • Research, identify, and prospect potential customers, with a primary focus on manufacturers and brands that may need custom packaging solutions.

  • Generate new business opportunities through consistent outbound activity, including cold calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, referrals, and other prospecting methods.

  • Make a high volume of outbound calls each day to introduce Utah PaperBox, qualify potential opportunities, and schedule meetings for the sales team.

  • Assist in building and maintaining a pipeline of net-new opportunities by identifying decision makers, gathering basic customer information, and tracking next steps.

  • Schedule introductory meetings for qualified prospects and, when appropriate, participate in or shadow meetings with experienced sales representatives.

  • Learn how to conduct consultative discovery, including understanding customer needs, timelines, volumes, packaging requirements, and potential challenges.

  • Maintain accurate and timely CRM records, including all calls, emails, meeting notes, follow-ups, and opportunity progress.

  • Collaborate with sales leadership and experienced sales representatives to support prospecting strategy, account research, and follow-up activity.

  • Develop a strong understanding of Utah PaperBox’s products, capabilities, sales process, customer types, and value proposition.

  • Demonstrate persistence, professionalism, and accountability in a role that requires frequent outreach and comfort with rejection.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent years of relevant sales, business development, customer service, or professional experience may substitute for this requirement.

  • Comfortable making a high volume of cold calls and initiating conversations with new prospects.

  • Strong technology skills, including the ability to confidently use a CRM, email, Microsoft Office, LinkedIn, online research tools, and other sales-related software on a daily basis.

  • Strong communication skills, both over the phone and in writing.

  • High level of personal accountability, organization, and follow-through.

  • Ability to handle rejection, stay motivated, and remain consistent with daily prospecting activity.

  • Willingness to learn a technical, custom, and relationship-based sales process.

  • Ability to accurately track activity, notes, and follow-up tasks in a CRM.

  • Professional, positive, and team-oriented approach.

Preferred

  • 1–3 years of sales, customer service, business development, recruiting, or other outbound-focused experience. 

  • Experience in B2B sales, business development, lead generation, or appointment setting.

  • Experience using a CRM, LinkedIn, email outreach tools, or other sales prospecting platforms.

  • Interest in growing into a full-cycle sales or outside sales role over time.

  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing, packaging, print, or custom product environment.


General Manufacturing Warehouse 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with general warehouse and manufacturing duties as assigned.

  • Move, organize, and stage materials, supplies, and finished goods.

  • Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.

  • Keep warehouse, production, and storage areas clean, organized, and safe.

  • Follow company safety procedures and use proper lifting techniques.

  • Assist with inventory counts, labeling, and product tracking as needed.

  • Operate basic warehouse equipment after proper training.

  • Inspect materials and products for quality concerns and report issues to a supervisor.

  • Work as part of a team to meet daily production and shipping needs.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Proficient in reading and writing.

  • No previous experience required; warehouse, manufacturing, or production experience preferred.

  • Mechanically inclined preferred.

  • Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.

  • Forklift experience is a plus, but not required.


Press Operator

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret instructions for each job ticket and direct set-up of press based on instructions.

  • Makes job ready by running sets to adjust print quality, registration, & color settings.

  • Makes pre-run inspection of job and receives approval to proceed from supervisor. Runs job to completion.

  • Check offsetting and load temperatures for various printed substrates.

  • Observes and monitors machine operations to detect malfunctions and to determine whether adjustments are needed.

  • Accurately follows instructions.

  • Monitors PH and conductivity of fountain solution and all other press-related chemistry.

  • Completes all required documentation i.e. Shop floor, manual entries, (job log, sheet count, running sequence) and all other pertinent information.

  • Supervises and trains press feeders and second press operator on the multi-color process.

Qualifications:

  • Must have minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience performing First Press Operator duties on sheet-fed equipment.

  • Must be a high school graduate or have a G.E.D.

  • Must have good color perception and pass a color hue and vision test.

  • Experience with color scanning equipment required.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Must have basic computer skills.

  • Must have the ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

  • Must have the ability to operate densitometers, spectrophotometers, calculators, gloss meters, PH/conductivity meters, and other printing equipment.

  • Must be able to work in and around UV materials.

  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations.


Gluer Operator

Responsibilities:

  • Complete preventive maintenance requirements according to operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions and established preventive maintenance schedules on Folder Gluers.

  • Set up bar code scanners, glue detectors, jam sensors, kick and ejection systems.

  • Maintain equipment, parts, and supply inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed equipment, parts and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.

  • Contribute to team effort by cross-training and providing back-up when necessary.

  • Contribute to team effort by exhibiting strong work ethic, problem solving, providing training and demonstrating leadership.

  • Contribute to quality investigations when necessary.

  • Able to interpret job ticket information and customer specifications to efficiently set-up and run Folder Gluers.

  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with company safety rules, procedures and regulations.
